Steve and I drove to Brattleboro.  We drove 16 hours to Wayne, NJ to spend the night and got up super duper early to hit the road for another 4 hours to Brattleboro, VT.  There were hysterical moments in route to Vermont, being that we had a 4 car caravan.  Too much to tell, but memories were made — with police officers and all.  That seems to be a common theme with our family (long story.  hee hee)

This wall was VERY cool.  It was retired scents and the
caption under the rare TREASURES sign said,
rekindle your love for an old flame.   Pretty cool.

We made a stop at the Yankee Candle flagship store, which was AWESOME!  I think there were a dozen mini stores within the store too — Vera Bradly, Pandora, etc.  I spent about $100 on candles and a few accessories.  Trust me, if it wasn’t for my hubby keeping things in perspective, I could’ve bought so much more.

We were then off to the hotel to prepare for the rehearsal and dinner.  Here is where some more entertainment enters the picture.  The hotel was n-a-s-t-y.  And I’ll let you guess where we actually stayed, being the phone said Red Roof Inn, the sign outside said Ramada and the bill Quality Inn.  Here are pictures to prove the chaos:

All I can say is that I was ready to check out upon checking in.  Oh well, we sucked it up.  However, it wasn’t worth the $99.99 (plus tax) a night.

The rehearsal dinner was very nice and Danny (my brother) and Michelle’s wedding was very nice.  My pictures did not turn out well, but here is a one of the new husband and wife:

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kuert
and their unconventional (yet comfy) shoes…
Wedding party at the Creamery Bridge (est 1879)
keep living and laughing, friends.
