Don’t you just {love} a good upcycle? Do you have anything that you’ve recently upcycled? Some pieces are super functional in one regard — but you have to think a little outside the box to see all of the other functional uses. I’m always strolling through stores wondering what I could use this item for or how I could upcycle a particular piece to meet a need I might have. It drives some of my family crazy, but I guess it’s those creative juices flowing.

So, a month or so ago I was visiting one of my favorite stores: World Market.  I could spend hours strolling through this store!  I always enjoy their kitchen area, seeing  all the fun gadgets and utensils. I get excited just thinking about it {giggle}. Anywho, I saw this White Wire Dish Rack that had an antique finish and thought, “Love!  How could I put this to good use outside the kitchen?”  It then dawned on me that it would make a great shipping station for my shop! So, guess what?  I bought it!  And made it into my very own slice of shipping station heaven.

Oh yes I did! ….and I absolutely adore it!  It’s so super cute and functional.  The minute I set my eyes on it I knew I had to have it and couldn’t wait to put it to good use.  It went from dish rack to shipping station!

Pretty fun, right?  I already had all of my shipping goodies hanging out on the desk in a very scattered, unorganized manner. So, this added some sweet organization.  I even had the dowel on hand to place where the mugs would hang to dry.  It was thee perfect spot for storing some of the fabulous washi tape I like to use on the packages.  On the others I hang some of the kraft tags I use for embellishments.

What do you think?  Upcycle success?
All for the low cost of:  $19.99
I just {love} it!  Be inspired!

Such an awesome project, would work for scrapbooking. Would also work as a card & bill station as well.
