Unexpectancies – I love creating my own words… so grammatically wrong, yet so much fun. For me, it truly is the simple things {giggle}. This week, I’ve decided to share five unexpected events of my week, all complete surprises — some good, some bad!
1) Winning a ‘Who-can-book-the-most-parties in March’ contest with the Tastefully Simple team that I’m on sponsored by our fantabulous Team Leader, Melanie McDermott. I have ten Catalog parties and one Open House on the books for March. What? I know, right? Now to get the sales… my proceeds go towards the Baby Rowe fund.
2) After filing our taxes on Sunday, we got our State refund on Thursday. I logged into our on-line banking to see a lot more money in one of our accounts. Very pleasant surprise. Very unexpected.
3) My dad having to have emergency scleral buckling surgery on his eye Wednesday night. He went in for an eye appointment due to some concerns he had, then I get a text saying he’s having surgery at 9:30 p.m. {sigh}. Thankfully, everything went well; however, it was an extremely stressful evening.
4) Receiving a $100 donation check in the mail for the Baby Rowe adoption fund. I am reminded in unexpected ways each and every day that we are surrounded with friends and family who love and pray for us, not to mention support our journey. Thank you, Brenda 🙂
5) I’m kick starting my diet by doing 3 months of Weight Watchers on-line. I have always liked to weigh myself on Fridays, but diets should never start until a Monday. It’s a quirk of mine… completely illogical really. Anywho, I weighed last Friday to have my starting weight (and I did *gasp* when I saw the number), but I didn’t start the tracking/watching until Monday. Five days in and I lost 2.2 pounds. Booo-yah!!
Happy Friday, Friends!
