Hello from my little neck of the woods to yours. I’m excited you’re here!
We’re preparing for frigid temperatures over the next couple of days. We had a few days in the 50s this week, which was lovely. We went for a couple of walks with the dogs, which was perfect.
If it’s going to be cold, I’d assume it happen over the weekend. I’ll hunker down with a book or watch TV under a blanket. What’s your weather like?
Miscellany:
1. This week, I spent a couple of hours each day taking an online course about digital products. I learned a lot, and it really got my wheels turning. If you could have any digital product, what would it be?
2. Have you heard of Parlor Doughnuts? I hadn’t.
This week, I met up with a friend at the Springfield location. It was yummy, and there were free coffee refills for the win!
Also, the picture above was the flooring in the doughnut shop. I was obsessed. 🥰
3. The fam bam is officially growing. My brother got engaged last weekend. I’m unsure when they’ll tie the knot, but I think it will be late 2025 or early 2026. 🤷🏼♀️ Honestly, I have no idea. Haha. I’m just making a lucky guess.
You know what? While I’m happy for my brother, change in the family dynamic at this age is HARD. Can anyone else relate?
If anything happens to one of my parents, they better not remarry. Just kidding 😆 (sort of). Are you reading this, Mom? Pass it on to Dad, too. Mmmkay? Lol.
4. Peopling is hard. Have you heard that phrase before?
My sister was texting me about some drama she was having with friends, and I said, “Peopling is hard.“
Peopling is a slang term for interacting with others, often in a social setting. Whether the interactions are good or bad, they can be emotionally draining.
My husband hadn’t heard the phrase, so I thought it would be a fun share here in the Weekender.
5. Bentley had his first appointment with our vet this week. Of course, he has giardia, which is becoming increasingly common in puppies.
Other than that, he’s already been neutered and has had all his vaccines — so it was more of an introductory visit.
Everyone loves the little cutie. I can’t blame them; he’s pretty darn cute and sweet.
6. I know I shared these DIY Surprise Balls over the holidays, but I wanted to feature them again because I think they’re wild and genius! I need to try making one or two of these surprise balls. They’d be great for Valentine’s Day, Birthdays, or just because. Would you give it a try?
7. We should not neglect winter skin care. If you missed my post earlier this week, please take a look.
8. Last weekend, I shared the link to this sweater (pictured below). However, I should try to share pics of some items when possible. This sweater is so warm and cozy. Also, I loved how it looked with the striped T-shirt.
p.s. If you don’t like cropped tops, consider ordering a tall one. That’s what I did (wink).
p.s.s. Follow me on LTK. I’m going to try to start posting over there more. Thanks for the nudge, Jamie. 💋
