I can’t believe we’re already in Day 3 of the 10 Days of Merry series! Wowzer. I’m super excited to share this fabulous and retro inspired project with you using yarn, Christmas balls and a styrofoam wreath form! So incredibly easy with a big wow factor. Even better yet, there’s still plenty of time to whip up a Retro Christmas Wreath before it’s too late!
Supplies to make your own retro yarn Christmas wreath:
12″ styrofoam wreath
Fun Fur yarn in Lime
Small Ornaments (I had some on hand and bought the red ones at the dollar store)
Glue Gun
Glue your end to the styrofoam wreath and start wrapping!
…and keep wrapping!
Note: Cut 3 or 4 strings of yarn at approximately 3 to 4 feet in length each and wrap them around the wreath together. It will speed up the process a bit and prevent the yarn from getting tangled and knotted, slowing the process down. (yep, I’m speaking from experience. hee-hee)
This is the most tedious part, but… keep wrapping {smile}.
We’re almost half way there! YAY!
Once you’re done, go ahead and remove the ornament caps.
And attach ornaments to the wreath with glue gun.
We’re officially done. What do you think?
Below it’s pictured with a more rustic spin!
Happy Crafting, sweet friends!!

I fall in love with this wreath all over again every year when I pop onto my Christmas pin board. It makes me so happy and reminds me of my grandma. 🙂
