Hello there, friends… I know it’s been a while since I posted. I apologize. If I had to be completely honest, life has just been very rough the past month or so. I certainly won’t bore you with the details, but that’s exactly why I’ve neglected the blog (I hope to get back on the blogging bandwagon and play catch up super duper soon). I have lots of fun things to share. Anywho, over the past month or so I have tried to stay focused on the tiny ray of light at the end of this dark tunnel I’m journeying through and embracing my blessings. Regardless of any circumstance we are faced with, there is always a blessing to be thankful for. ALWAYS!! Speaking of blessings, have you heard the song, Blessings by Laura Story? It’s absolutely amazing and the words are so powerful. Please take the time to listen and truly meditate on the message of the song. I hear it on our local christian radio station Joy FM every so often and I firmly believe that the Lord is whispering to me a gentle reminder that blessings are all around, sometimes they’re just not in the forms that we desire. In my trials, I feel compelled to try to bless those who might also be experiencing a dry spell of their own. Be encouraged and know that you’re not alone — and that the rain, the storms, even those hardest nights might just be Gods mercies in disguise. Here are the lyrics. Be blessed!

We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near?
What if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise?
We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
And all the while You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears?
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near?
And what if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise
When friends betray us, when darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It’s not our home
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near?
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst
This world can’t satisfy?
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise?

Just looking through your blog tonight…I love this song so much, too. I pray that God will hold you close through the rain and hard nights.
