When the hubs and I moved into our 2500 square foot home, we waited a year to paint because the house needed to settle a bit, nail pops, etc.  Then we went and painted 90% of the house with a gold/wheat color. Then, I love-love-loved the color.  It felt warm and cozy.  However, six years later — I’m ready to go with more neutral and lighter colors that will brighten up the space.  So, we recently started painting and we found a super cool way on How to Paint without Trays and Liners!

The Homeright PaintStick EZ-Twist Paint Roller Applicator.  Are you familiar with this paintstick?  It’s all kinds of crazy cool.  The PaintStick holds paint in the handle.  You control the paint flow with a simple push of the handle.

You fill the tube directly from the can and you’ll cover an 8′ x 8′ wall in about a minute, which is approximately one-third the time of a regular roller.  Boom!

The snap-on spatter shield protects your floors and ceilings too.

We used the mini paintstick on some smaller walls too.

Homeright Paintsticks to the rescue. livelaughrowe.comWe finished up most of  the downstairs… now to finish up the staircase, breakfast nook and the upstairs hallway.  We’re in no rush, but trying to pace ourselves to get it finished up sooner than later.  Here is a sneak peek of the before and after paint color.  We’ll be making some changes to our living room, so expect to see a room makeover in due time {smile}.

Before and After pcitures of new paint color in our living room!I’m not sure the pictures really grasp the difference, but it is significant and we love it!  The after picture was taken later in the day too, so…. hopefully you can appreciate  it as much as we do.

If you have any painting projects in your near future, be sure to give the Homeright Paintsticks a try… I think you’ll find them to be pretty fantastic!

We rent so almost never paint. Just moved to a new place we plan to stay in for at least a couple of years and I hate the yellow-beige wall color. Could definitely use one of these paint sticks to turn my walls a fresh, clean white!

This roller looks amazing! I wonder if they have it here? I love your new wall colour, you really notice the difference. I want to paint our walls but my hubby is not super excited about it as I have painted it a different colour almost once a year…..I usually win out though as I do all the work anyway! Haha! can’t wait to see the full reveal.

Looking good Kelly! Appreciate this so much as have seventeen spaces to paint so can use all the help I can get …. ☺. (Maybe I could be a spokesperson for them afterwards ….. winks.) Do have a question for you though; am I correct in assuming that the paint stick can be cleaned and recycled if using another colour? (Thanks so much.) -Brenda-

Hi Brenda! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂 The paint sticks can be cleaned and I believe that they can be recycled with another color if cleaned well. We were only using the one color this time around, but the cleanup was great – the sticks and roller cleaned really well. Trust that helps. Have a great day. HUGS.

Hi Ariel. Not really. My husband just has a very steady hand and can do it without taping 🙂 I usually have to tape myself and edges are the worst.

Hi Tammy. We bought our paint at Lowe’s — I believe it was Valspar. Cheers!
