Friends, you know I love me some mason jars! Painted mason jars, desserts in mason jars and (wait for it)… gifts in mason jars! Gosh, they just make me happy. My basement has boxes of them to prove this crazy love of mine (giggle). Today I’m sharing a fun gift in a jar — this darling idea for A Jar Full of Sunshine!
Last year I shared a version of this over at The 36th Avenue. My sister loved the idea so much, she decided to make some for her co-workers. They turned out so darling, that I decided to photograph hers and share a Jar Full of Sunshine printable tag as well. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need!
Supplies for Jar Full of Sunshine (gift in a jar):
Mason Jars
All things yellow — that will fit in the jar, of course
Hole Puncher
Jute Twine or Bakers twine
Here are few of the items we used (all yellow):
–pencil top erasers
–rubberbands
–Lemon Heads in vending capsules
–Starbursts
–Juicy Fruit gum
–buttons
–paper clip
–crayon
–gum balls
–post-its
–gift tags
–mini clothespins
-and more!!
Place all your goodies in the jar and consider using these yellow daisy mason jar lids to close them up! Print your tag, cut it out, punch your hole and attach to mason jar with twine. Your gift in a jar is ready to go.

PRINT OR SAVE A JAR FULL OF SUNSHINE PRINTABLE TAGS
You’re now ready to make someones day! Seriously, who wouldn’t enjoy this fun little surprise. I enjoyed digging through the jar to see all the goodies my sister had stuffed in there. So. much. fun!
Love to add a handwritten note to your gifts? Here is a fantastic quote:
“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.
These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s
pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.” -Joseph Addison
Let’s make someone smile — and spread a little sunshine!

So cute! Where did you get the jar lids with the sunflower?
Kelly Rowe says
Hi Paulina! Thanks so much for stopping by. My sister got them on Etsy. If you search jar lids, or yellow…options should pop up for you. 🙂 Trust that helps. Have a great day. HUGS.

Hi Kelly, Great idea. My Seniors would love these. I have pewter lids like those shown. Can they be painted yellow? Thanks.
Kelly Rowe says
Hi Carol. I can’t speak from experience; however, I would think you could spray paint them. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!
