Oh friends! Today is a BIG day for me.
Why is that you ask? Well, today I turn 40 {gulp}.
While we all know that I don’t look a day older than 30 {hee-hee}, it’s a sad truth that I’m officially getting old! A new decade awaits. New adventures are ahead. And do you know what? I’m excited about them! While getting old is certainly not something I look forward to, it’s inevitable. So, I’m going to embrace it! Forty and fabulous, right?
Inspired by a bloggy friend, I thought I would share forty random tidbits about myself — things you may or may not know! Enjoy!
1. I’m an identical mirror twin.
2. I was on National Honor Society. Does that mean I’m smart? Hee-hee.
3. I love playing practical jokes on my family.
4. I prefer blue ink pens to black.
5. I am a total control freak.
6. My favorite flower is the daisy.
7. I named my maltese, Parker, after Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
8. I met my husband on-line (website called Christian Cafe)
9. I have a weird love for tote bags; therefore, I have too many and some rarely get used.
10. I love to sing. When driving, I sing at the top of my lungs.
11. I do NOT like feet. They gross me out.
12. Peanut Butter is a weakness of mine.
13. My first job was delivering news papers — then fast food.
14. I used to wear suits to work 90% of the time, now I wear yoga pants most days.
15. I’m right handed (twin is left handed; hence being mirror twins).
16. I went to Bible College.
17. I’ve been in love only once in my life — with my hubby!
18. My favorite gum is EXTRA and Dentyne Fire
19. Apple (Mac) products all the way, baby!
20. I bite my nails — it’s a terrible and unladylike habit, I know.
21. I’m self taught on Adobe Photoshop (which is no easy feat).
22. I was born in Philadelphia.
23. I went on a missions trip to Argentina when I was 16.
24. I’ve lived in four states — PA, NY, KS, and MO.
25. I’m addicted to coffee.
26. I HATE glitter. It seriously gives me anxiety — and that is no exaggeration.
27. I wish I lived back on the East Coast.
28. I love-love-love my Honda CRV. My first NEW car and it makes me smile.
29. I love to talk — and often, I talk too much! #sorrynotsorry
30. I prefer paper and pen to electronic calendars and lists.
31. My first car was a Red Chevette — we called it the little red bomber.
32. I was my Senior Class Treasurer.
33. I would love to own a storefront business one day; however, I’m terrified of failing.
34. Besides Bud light, a favorite alcoholic drink is Ed Hardy’s Sangria over ice.
35. I love photography. I have so much to learn, but enjoy photographing for the blog.
36. I watch way too many crime documentaries.
37. We adopted our second dog from a shelter. Best decision ever!
38. I have a tattoo, located on my lower back {a.k.a. tramp stamp}.
39. While I love to cook, I equally enjoy the art of eating out too! {giggle}
40. I went caving in college and cried the entire time. Definetely not my thing.
41. Diet Coke over Diet Pepsi, for sure.
Ooopsy! I got a little carried away there…
So, did you learn something new about me?
I entertained myself pulling this list together!
I’m off to celebrate good times at a local winery,
but before I go, I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my twinkie too!
we’ve come a long way, baby!

I love my CR-V too!! I picked it out in 2001 when I was 12 years old, my mother handed it down to me when I was 18, I’m now 24 and still driving it!
Kelly Rowe says
How fun is that you wanted it as 12 and then got it…and still have it! I love it. Have a great weekend Michelle! xo.
