“I’m sharing some pointers on the importance of Exterior Spring Cleaning with Zep All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #ZepSocialstars”
With interior spring cleaning also comes exterior spring cleaning — pressure washing the house (womp, womp, womp). It’s a ton of work, but did you know you should be washing your home about every 12 – 24 months to deter mold growth, and protect your paint and siding? Yikes! We have failed at this, BIG time. So, this past weekend we started the task of pressure washing our home. Did you catch that I said we started? We decided to do it in sections! A two-story home can take a bit more time. Anywho, I thought I would share what we did and the product we used!
Supplies:
Power Washer
Zep All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate
Bucket
Water (and Hose)
So, I don’t think we’ve power washed our house in the entire seven years that we’ve lived (ahem, embarrassing i know. #facepalm). We thought we would give the Zep Commercial cleaner concentrate a try, because after sever years, I can only imagine how much dirt, grime, mold, mildew and pollen are layered up on our siding. Gulp.
After preparing the power washer (attaching the hose), we were ready to get the concentrate ready for use.
Following the products instructions, you’ll proceed as follows:
- Dillute cleaner (1:20) and add to machine.
- Wash the siding with cleaner using LOW pressure spray nozzle.
3. Apply cleaner to area, let it set for approximately 5 minutes, allowing the cleaner to penetrate the surface. NOTE: You don’t want the surface to dry.
4. Rinse with water and HIGH pressure spray nozzle.
And you’ll see the results instantly!
YAY!! A clean exterior makes me happy. Here’s some even more exciting news…. you can use this same concentrate to remove dirt, grim and more from you sidewalks and driveways too! Who doesn’t love a product that can kill two birds with one stone?
What are you waiting for? Pick up your very own bottle of the All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate at Home Depot TODAY. Your house will thank you later {wink}.

Good job on a sparkly clean exterior!
I have a question: your siding looks like vinyl. Do we have to wash wooden exteriors too?

Great advice for cleaning the exterior of your house with a pressure washer. It’s definitely a good idea to clean at least every couple of years to stay ahead of mildew and dirt. Thanks for sharing!

Great DIY advice: Low pressure with detergent and let it soak, then high pressure rinsing. It’s definitely a good idea to spend a bit now on pressure washing maintenance then spend a lot more later due to premature aging of your exterior! Thanks for posting.

Woohoo i love a good DIY. I tell all of my clients that pressure washing is preventive maintenance and should be treated as such with 1-2 washes a year. Best thing about pressure washing is how easy it can be. Thanks for the read.
