October is Energy Awareness Month.

Go Green. Save Green with Best BuyGuess what that means?  It’s a great time to upgrade to a new energy-efficient appliance, television or computer to save money on your home energy bills.  I love to save where I can, don’t you?  Did you know that Best Buy has more than 2,300 unique ENERGY STAR® certified products available in stores and online?  ENERGY STAR certified products will save you money, reduce energy use and protect the environment by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy.

Other ENERGY STAR certified products include:

  • Computer monitors
  • Printers
  • Washers
  • Refrigerators
  • Air Conditioners
  • Dvd Players
  • and more!

Who knew a monitor or printer could offer energy efficiency!?!  The average home’s annual energy bill is $2,200 and energy efficient products can save you money.  Be sure to check out how much you can save with ENERGY STAR Appliances.  I recently learned that beyond savings from simply having energy efficient products, local utility companies provide additional rebates that can save you up to $300 on energy bills as well.  To find rebates available in your area, check out the Best Buy online rebate finder here: ENERGY STAR Rebates.

So, what do you say — let’s take advantage of energy awareness month and go green.  If we go green, we save green!!  That’s a win-win.

I had no idea little appliances like printers and monitors could have that energy efficient sticker either! Very interesting to know!

I had no idea they had an Energy Star rebate finder in their site! We’ll be looking to purchase an extra fridge for the garage next month and this might help us save a little bit of money. Thanks for the info. 🙂

I always always look for Energy Star appliances when I am in the market. I’ve been looking for an energy-star compliant compact freezer but so far no luck!

We always try to find the energy efficient versions of our appliances and we are slowly having to replace some, so will definitely look for that sticker!

We used to have all energy star products and when we moved (military) this place we are renting has some old appliances let me just say. I can definitely tell a difference compared to what we use to own. We are ready to get back to the good stuff. 🙂

I always look for the Energy Star symbol… when we had to buy a new washing machine, I’d only look at machines with the Energy Star sticker!
