Two ripe red tomatoes beside a potted basil plant in a woven basket.

Oh Saturday, how I love thee… let me count the ways.

And hellooooo there, friend! I’m pumped you’re here.

Miscellany:

1. Is there anything better than a homegrown summer tomato? We’ve been enjoying a few lately, and the flavor simply can’t be compared to what you find at the grocery store. Add fresh basil, a little salt, and maybe some mozzarella, and I’m a happy girl. Yum!

2. Did you watch the FIFA World Cup final? Congratulations to Spain—they played a great game and certainly earned the win. Still, I couldn’t help feeling heartbroken for Argentina. Probably the last world cup for Messi.

3. This week I did something I’ve never done before — got my house professionally cleaned. Have you ever done it? Oh what a feeling. I felt like I won the lottery. I plan to share more soon, so stay tuned.

4. If you’re a weirdo — you might enjoy my post from earlier this week. Check out the two Stay Weird Printables available for free! You know you want to. (wink-wink)

5. This was our master bedroom refresh back in 2022, when we got a new bed frame, side tables, a boho chair and added soft green bedding with a fun coral accent pillow.

Bright master bedroom with soft blue bedding, a coral lumbar pillow, woven furniture, and a light wood nightstand.

Well, I recently ordered new bedding, so another little refresh is on the way. Apparently, I can only leave a bedroom alone for so long. Ha!

I love the Casaluna one that we bought previously (pictured). So, I decided to get the Dark Teal this time — along with this Textured Cotton Chambray Coverlet. I’ll try to share a pic after it all arrives and I decide I love it. Stay tuned.

6. The beach is calling, so we booked a trip to head back to the Gulf Shores area this fall. Eeeks! We got ourselves a dog friendly place — so Bentley will be experiencing the beach for the first time. I’m looking forward to sunrises, sunsets, reading, puzzles and soaking up the salt air.

7. Currently reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach. This is a new author to me, so I’m not sure what to expect. I was just excited to start a new book this week, it’s been a couple of weeks since I did any reading.

8. What I’m watching or what I’ve watched:

  • It’s Not Like That (Prime Video): I recently watched the faith based drama on with Scott Foley. I thought it was darling. Unfortunately, it wasn’t renewed for a second season, but the ending did have closure. Anywho, I highly recommend it.
  • Ransom Canyon S2 (Netflix): This series is so good. Small Texas town, cowboys, ranches and breezy romance. There was a scene where Quinn (Minka Kelly) says, Handsome Canyon. Haha.

Around the Web:

This Home Sweet Home Porcelain Mug.

My favorite Glass Window Cleaning Cloth. Streak Free, baby!

This Mint Chocolate Chip Sheet Cake.

Genius Mini Naked Cakes.

Yes, please! Buster Bar Ice Cream Cake.

These sneakers are Hoka Dupes!

This Cozy Floral Stripe Blanket (so soft, too).

These Custom Card Holders are fun for entertaining!

This FREE Potholder Tutorial. Great gift idea!

These DIY Gift Tags using buttons!

Felt pasta, anyone? So stinking cute for the kiddos.

One Last Hoorah:

“I think I like this little life.” There’s something so comforting about those words. They remind us that a beautiful life doesn’t have to be grand or exciting—it can be found in cozy rooms, familiar routines, quiet mornings, and the people and moments that make home feel like home. Sometimes, the little life we’re living is the one worth appreciating most.

Colorful illustrated dining nook with plants, artwork, a table, and the quote “I think I like this little life.”
