Happy hellos from a cold and snowy Rogersville, MO. I hope you’re staying warm!

picture of snowfall on a tree with pinecones and a quote on the right side

Miscellany:

1. We got SNOW! Last week, we got a dusting, but this past Thursday/Friday, I think we got 6+ inches. It’s bright and beautiful, and now it can go away. 😂 😂

As much as I love the colder temps and winter months, I’ve decided I don’t live my best life during this season. The winter blues kick my butt too.

How about you? Any snow? Winter blues?

2. Did you know that the second Friday of January is National Quitter’s Day? So this year, it fell on Friday, January 10th. At first, I thought, “That’s awful, a National Quitter Day?”

Then I read what it’s set aside to recognize. 🤯

3. I shared this Orange Marmalade recipe without pectin this week on the blog. It’s an easy recipe with a lot of versatility.

4. The fires in California are such a tragedy. My heart is heavy for the thousands of people who lost their homes and everything within them. My prayers go out to those who may have been impacted. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

5. While Nash was at the groomer this past week, Bentley got to try a day of doggy daycare. He got some extra love, made new friends, and did great! Way to go, Benny!

We wanted to be sure he had his first experience alone, without Nash, since he’s glued to his hip. Haha.

6. If you’re a Peacock subscriber, check out The Day of the Jackal. It’s a superb British Spy Thriller. So good.

7. Earlier this week, our kitchen trash can broke. We bought it a little over 6 years ago when we moved here, so it had a decent go. We’ve had a step trash can since we’ve been married. I started researching; however, I knew we didn’t want to break the bank. There are some seriously expensive trash cans out there. Haha.

Based on the reviews, price point, and size, we went with this one.

8. Do you love pink and red? Are you a fan of sporting those colors to honor the upcoming Valentine’s Day? I recently purchased this sweater and this sweatshirt. They’re both so cute. ❤️🩷❤️🩷

One Last Hoorah:

Have you heard of the yoga post, legs up the wall? It’s a calming yoga pose where you rest your legs vertically against a wall while lying on your back. This position is known for promoting relaxation, easing tension, and helping to reduce stress. Ummm… yes, please!

I’m going to give it a go and thought you might be inspired as well.
