Happy hellos from Rogersville, MO. Aaaaand happy Saturday. How have you been?!?! Are you ready to do this? Alrighty, let’s catch up.

Dog on the Beach

Miscellany:

1. Well, it’s been a week since we returned home from Fort Morgan, Alabama. Guys, the trip did not go as planned. Womp, womp, womp. My husband had intense shoulder and neck pain the day after we arrived (Sunday). On Tuesday, we ended up at Urgent Care. He could not sleep comfortably at night; therefore, neither was I.

Nash had me up at 6:30 a.m. every morning. My sister and her dog, Max, were with us, so Nash wanted to find his buddy and start the day. 😩 That is not vacation behavior.

Of course, we enjoyed the beach as best we could, ate at a few of our favorite spots, and watched several sunsets. We walked the beach most mornings and evenings; that never gets old. Outlet shopping was a must, too. Duh. Haha.

Guess what? Nash loved the beach, and it was adorable watching him play in the sand. In the picture above, did you see his sand mustache? 🥰 Isn’t he the cutest? He had to be shaved upon our return home – the matting was real. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I love his curls, but it was all worth it for him to love the beach.

2. My sister and I have been planning our 50th birthday party. Dang, party planning is a lot of work. LOL. It doesn’t help that we waited until the last minute to make it happen, either.

We’re going with a boho theme. It will be a smaller gathering of our closest friends and family, a simple cake reception, but there are still so many details to consider. WOW.

Would you be interested in seeing a vision board about the the decor?

3. Speaking of birthdays, my brother is turning 47 on Sunday. We’ll have lunch at HuHot Mongolian Grill and dessert at my parents’ house. I’ve never eaten there, so we’ll see what it’s like.

4. This week, I did a lot of self-development by catching up on the Rise Up virtual sessions from Kristen Boss’s conference in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. It was only $29 to buy a virtual ticket, and I love her, so I didn’t have to think twice. However, I only have until Monday to watch the replays, so I’ve been watching them earnestly. I have four hours to go! I can do this.

Anywho, if you’re into social selling, she’s a firehouse! 🔥

5. I’ve fallen off the WW (Weight Watchers) wagon once again. Of course, I didn’t care while I was on vacation, but then I didn’t care ‘some more’ upon returning home. 🫣

I’ll get back on track; it just might take a minute. Grace, Kelly. Grace.

6. I started spray tanning again. It’s always a learning curve when I haven’t done it in a while. Haha. However, it’s crazy what a little color can do for you, you know?

Why am I doing it? So I can wear knee-length shorts and dresses without worrying about my legs looking white — and my spider veins won’t be as scary. Maybe it’s the getting older thing getting to me, too. I don’t know. If I don’t have some color on my legs, I’d rather wear pants and long dresses all summer.

Am I crazy? Am I overthinking it? Maybe.

I will say this. Getting older, going through menopause, and watching your body change is not for the faint of heart. That is a fact.

7. Where are all of my plant lovers? These plant flags are awesome sauce! What a fun gift idea, too. Right?

Around the Web:

Pssst. Enjoying the content? Buying me a coffee or two occasionally is a fabulous way to support all my hard work and the content I provide. Thank YOU!
