“I’m sharing how I use Zep PowerFoam Tub, and Tile Cleaner get our bathroom super clean as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #ZepSocialstars”

How many of you LOVE to clean?  Confession time!  I’m not one of those people, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.  Right?  I find that having a plan and spreading the work load out really helps me to stay on track.  Soooo, I’m sharing a few Bathroom Cleaning Tips with all of you.  A lot of them are very practical, but for those of us who are constantly looking for ways to work smarter, not harder — well, you may find a tip or two here today {wink}.

Bathroom Cleaning Tips to help you work smarter, not harder. We all like to keep things manageable, right? livelaughrowe.comWe all have incredibly different lifestyles, so these are suggestions.  Of course I would encourage you to adjust any of these suggestions to better suit your families needs.

I decided to share these Bathroom Cleaning Tips into timeframes:  Daily, Weekly and Monthly.  Let’s take a look.

DAILY

  • Keep the air circulating.  Years ago I remember watching a Holmes on Homes program where Mike talked about the importance of running the fan in your bathroom while showering and at-least 20 minutes after.  This helps to prevent mold and mildew.
  • Squeegee bathroom wall each day and, when possible, use a terry cloth to wipe down the tub to lessen soap scum and mineral/hard water deposits.
  • Keep shower liner closed.  At first I thought this was silly, but it does make sense when you think about the water sitting inside the folds.

WEEKLY

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t clean my bathrooms every week.  It’s just the hubs and I and they aren’t really used that excessively.  However, if you have a busy household, these weekly bathroom tips are much more important.

Each week, it’s important to:

  • Clean the Toilets,
  • Vacuum Rugs (wash rugs bi-weekly).
  • Clean Floors (dry swiffer and mop).
  • Clean Sink and Mirrors.
  • Dump the Trash.
  • And, of course, clean the Shower/Tub.

Bathroom Cleaning Tips to help you work smarter, not harder. We all like to keep things manageable, right? livelaughrowe.comHave you heard about Zep PowerFoam Tub, and Tile Cleaner?  It’s super easy to use.  You simply spray, wait, and wipe.  It quickly dissolves soap scum, calcium deposits, and lime scale. There’s really no scrubbing required.  Woo-Hoo.  The Morning Rain Fragrance also leaves your bathroom smelling fresh and clean!

MONTHLY

  • Preventative Pipe Cleaning.  Who can relate to clogs in the the shower or sink?  Once a month, place 1/2 cup baking soda into your drain and follow it with a 1/2 cup white vinegar.  Mixture will foam (it might even feel like your back in 6th grade experimenting with a Science project. SMILE!).  Pour boiling hot water down the drain to wash out any clogs.
  • Clean Shower Head.  Soak in vinegar with a baggy and attach with rubber band.  Let sit for a few hours and use toothbrush to scrub.

  • Wash shower liners on delicate in cold water and hang to dry.
  • Clean bathroom fan as necessary as it tend so to get dusty.

That’s it.  Pretty manageable, right?  If you have kids who are old enough to do chores, start delegating {wink}.  We’re all happier with a cleaner home and the bathroom is one of thee most used rooms in our homes.

Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of the Zep PowerFoam Tub, and Tile Cleaner at Home Depot TODAY.  Your bathroom will thank you later {wink}.

Care to stay in the loop? I’d love to have you!

I always yell at my husband to close the shower curtain because it gets gross extra fast when it doesn’t dry out. I definitely need to try out the shower head cleaning tip!

In the preventative pipe cleaning section, you say to pour vinegar and baking soda in the dram. Is that the toilet or sink?

Hi Kim. My apologies for the confusion — you’re going to pour the mix down the ‘drain’. This would be for sinks, showers, etc.

Very simple but extremely useful tips! The one things that I can’t stand is a dirty bathroom. In my opinion it need to be maintained every two days, but if that is not possible at least once a week!
