Oh SNAP! It’s that time… time to share a quick recap of my recent bloggy trip to SNAP! 2013. While I’m still incredibly exhausted, not one of my bags have been unpacked and I’m still super behind here on the blog — I wanted to take a few minutes to share a few of my experiences and thoughts from the conference with all of you.
If there’s one thing most of you know about me, I keep it very real. My very first impression of the conference was that SNAP! was super fast paced. You jump right in and stay incredibly busy for three straight days. At times, it presented its challenges; however, I have to admit that this conference has officially made it to the top of my blog conference list. I {loved} the size and learned an enormous amount of information that I can apply to my blog/business. I was able to connect with some incredible brands and meet some of my bloggy pals. Do you know what that means? ROI! I received an incredible return on my investment. Any goals I set were exceeded too. Woot!
If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you saw me blow up my feed with pictures throughout the conference! My iPhone was my camera {smile}.
A few of my SNAP! Snippets included…
I learned some fabulous tips for increasing my SEO. I met Ana White and Lisa Leonard. I was taught a few fun tricks for photographing objects/food for the blog. I got to hug Desiree and Jen. I learned that you can have estrogen overload {hee-hee}. In so many words it was said that quality content is more important than quantity of content (i.e. posting only a few times a week is OKAY). I was reminded that getting my own hotel room is necessary. I was educated on what brands are looking for when looking to work with bloggers. I had a blast in the Ready Set Snap challenge hosted by Lowe’s (my team won the “Most Likely to Go Viral” award). I got to shop at the Queen Bee Market {that was all kinds of fabulous}. I ate way too much. I laughed and cried. I was reminded of some of the blogging basics. I got to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones! Late nights mean early mornings {giggle}. I found out the hard way that I could not carry a staple gun in my carry on bag {gulp}. I said it before and I’ll say it again — cliques are inevitable. Be passionate and authentic! Design and colors on your blog do make a HUGE difference. I had no idea what the ‘No Index’ button meant.. but I do now!
I had the chance to meet so many fabulous ladies that it would take me forever to list them for you (and I’m confident that I’d leave a couple out, so I won’t even attempt it). However, you all know who you are and I am truly grateful for your hugs and kind words.
These ladies below are near and dear to my heart and a lot of work went into rounding every one up for this photo at the pajama par-tay {smile}. We are all part of a tribe/facebook group together, and it was fabulous to get a chance to hug each and every one of them! I only wished we were able to squeeze some more time in to catch up with one another.

I was also super lucky to get to experience some of the sights, sounds and flavors of Salt Lake City too! Thank you, Jill! xo
Salt Lake Marina | Temple Square | Red Iguana (oh my goodness, yum!)
And I could totally wake up to this view every morning!
I know it’s short and sweet… however, I have something up my sleeve in sharing some more of the invaluable information I learned. Soo, hang tight! In a nutshell, SNAP! rocked. I do hope to meet some more of you next year… xo

Hey Kelly! I’m SO glad that you stopped me to say hi that day. Whatever day it was. 😉 I totally agree with everything in this post. SO fast paced, but SO much fun. I can’t believe how much I learned in 3 days and am completely overwhelmed and still recovering. xo

I’m not even a blogger, but loved your recap! I appreciate your “keep it real” approach. It’s so refreshing. Too many bloggers don’t get to the core of being real and unfortunately it shows. Your personality, craftiness and heart shows on all levels of your blog! Thanks for sharing “you”! …and your pictures were fabulous! 🙂

Holy crow, your pictures are gorgeous!!! I snapped about a bajillion pics of the mountains and don’t think any turned out like that one (although, I STILL haven’t looked at them, so maybe I do have a winner somewhere in there!). It was great meeting you and maybe we’ll bump into each other again at another conference!
