We’re less than two weeks away from Christmas! Squeal. I think one of my favorite parts of the season is the decor. It seems to change a bit every year — the hubs doesn’t really care for that {hee-hee}. I say it’s a women thing… Anywho, this year I got my first Balsam Hill® wreath. It’s a bountiful 22″ Boxwood Wreath. Of course I wanted to find just the right spot, whether it be indoor or outdoor, I stared at it for a few days just strategizing. I thought about the front door, but eh… Maybe on our oversized chalkboard in the kitchen? Nah. Then it hit me, the buffet in our dining room seems to be where I create seasonal vignettes and I had the perfect spot! Aaaand my Rustic Christmas Vignette was born.
I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together — a rustic feel, neutral colors and a splash of red.
I think everything seemed to compliment each other just perfectly. From the galvanized lantern to using vintage sheets of music as a runner.
I added some red ribbon to some old jingle bells I had on hand, adding a little more color. Whenever I see the music sheets and the jingle bells, I usually start humming Christmas tunes… I guess it’s a subconscious behavior. {giggle}
Another new addition to my decor this year was this driftwood tree. Isn’t it magnificent? I spotted it, but then I didn’t pick it up (silly me). Of course, it gnawed at me all night too. So, the next day I headed back and, apparently, it was meant to be! Insert a happy dance.
I wanted to pair it with other trees, but different shapes and sizes. Keeping the ‘rule of three’ in mind, I used a mini faux pine tree wrapped in burlap and one of my twine wrapped trees to complete the look.
If you stopped by for my Fall Home Tour, you might have seen the awesome sauce wood bowl I scored. I filled it with apples for fall and decided to use it again in my dining room. This time I wrapped bundles of old books together and added some red ribbon. It seemed to be perfectly festive and complimented the vignette.
We’ve officially come full circle, because I’m going to end with another fun fact about my new wreath. This boxwood wreath comes pre-lit with LED lights for a charming glow — and it is truly charming! I love how vibrant and realistic this pre-lit wreath is. It truly adds an elegant touch to the space. I love mixing the old with the new and found the burlap bow was fabulous last minute touch.
I hope you’re feeling inspired. I love my simple rustic Christmas vignette — and the Balsam Hill® Boxwood Wreath was a lovely addition. Be sure to swing by their site, all of their products are beautiful!
