Today is the last day I’ll have in my 40’s. Steve and I celebrated with a date night.
I cannot believe that tomorrow I’ll be 50 years old. How the “hell-o” is that possible?!? I feel like I had my first sip of alcohol yesterday, yet it was 29 years ago. 🤯 For those of you doing the math, yes, I had my first drink at the age of 21. Lol. I’m a Pastors Kid and never went through the wild teen years.
Anywho, normally I’m celebrating my birthday all month, yet this one has felt a little different — I’m blaming menopause. 🫣🤣 I haven’t been counting down the days and I’ve cried more than I’d like to admit — but tomorrow, May 17th, 2024 is inevitable. While it’s only a silly number, it is a relatively big one.
However, by this age, you have a much greater appreciation for life and each passing day. So, tonight I’m grateful for the 49 incredible years I’ve lived — being raised in a Godly home, the friends I’ve made, the schools I attended, the lessons I’ve learned, the places I’ve lived, my fur babies (past and present), the jobs I’ve had, God’s provision, the journey of entrepreneurship (my blog), sixteen years of marriage to an amazing man and the list goes on and on. I would be grateful for 50 more, if God wills it. (Come quickly, Lord Jesus). ☺️
Cheers to the past 49 years! 🥂 I’m coming for you FIFTY — and you better not disappoint.

#AD Ladies, how many of us have men in our lives who are prone to avoid the doctor? I see those hands. I love the men in my life – my husband, dad, and brother being at the top of that list. Guess what? We play a BIG role in helping them take care of themselves. According to a recent @mymdvip survey, half of all men think it’s okay to have a “dad bod.” Soooo, it’s important that we know and understand family history about the BIG FOUR: Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Blood Sugar, and Body Mass Index (BMI). When we’re armed with these facts, it helps us to partner with them in making healthier lifestyle choices, which is good for both physical and mental health. Steve and I started walking 2-3 miles a day this past summer and we’re making healthier food choices too. It’s been AMAZING and I feel like we’re making steps in the right direction while focusing on our health and prevention.
Fellas!! Would you skip an oil change on your car or truck? No? Well, it’s time to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician – it’s time to take better care of yourselves!

Hey friends! Remember me? 2021 has been one ROUGH year. And, of course, one last hoorah seemed to be in order. We tested positive for COVID. Steve has been blessed with minimal symptoms. However, I was hit very hard and grateful that I qualified for the the REGEN-COV monoclonal antibody therapy. Today is Day 5/6 and I felt well enough to go for a walk to keep the lungs active. So here’s a picture of us on our Christmas Day walk. While Christmas festivities may be postponed, I have so much to be grateful for. Nevertheless, I’m incredibly anxious to say goodbye to 2021. Wishing each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas from the Rowes.
p.s. It looks like we took this shot on a ranch. Haha. No such luck. 😂
You guys… I got to do my first virtual wine tasting recently. Oh my goodness. It was so much fun. I got to try three wines from three different wineries in @traveliowa.
I’m sure that when you think of wineries, you tend to think of places like Napa Valley. However, the Midwest is also home to some beautiful and exceptional wineries — and Iowa is one of them. Yes, Iowa.
So, hop on over to the blog to learn about the WOMEN wine makers, the wineries and the delicious wines I got to try. Plus, I scored some promo codes for you. Holla!

This is soooo good... “The heart that’s meant to love you will fight for you when you want to give up, pick you up when you’re feeling down, and will give their smile when it’s hard for you to find yours. They will NEVER get strength from seeing you weak, power from your hurt, or joy from seeing you cry. The heart that’s meant to love you wants to see the best of you, not the hurt you! Never forget that.” -Trent Shelton And grab this scripture printable over on the blog, there are two sizes to choose from I Corinthians 13:4-8 is one of my favorite passages. Hellloooo. Remember me? It`s been a few months since I posted a new square here. 🤦♀️ Time flies, huh? I just needed to take a step back and breathe. 2020 was ROUGH and then the winter blues crept up on me. Phew. Since we lost our Buster back in August, nights and sleep have become such a battle for me. However, I`m posting today with the intention of getting back in the saddle and moving forward with a heck of a lot of grace. Yep, GRACE. Grace is my word for the year and I want to be spread as much love and positivity as possible. I think we all need a little more grace, love, and positivity. Amen? Let me go ahead and do a midweek introduction with a few random facts and I`d love for you to do the same. Mmmmkay? ⭐ Coffee and Diet Coke are my jam. ⭐ I`m an identical mirror twin. ⭐ I watch King of Queens reruns almost every day. ⭐ I met my husband on-line (back in 2005). ⭐ I`m a dork. ⭐ Navy Blue is my favorite color. ⭐ I`m obsessed with all things Peanut Butter ⭐ My first job was as a newspaper delivery girl. Your turn! I look forward to getting better acquainted.
Anyone else struggling with daylight savings time fatigue? ME! 🙋♀️ The struggle is real, friends. I`m currently running on extra caffeine and naps. You?

. "October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came -- The Ashes, Oaks and Maples, And leaves of every name. The sunshine spread a carpet, And every thing was grand; Miss Weather led the dancing; Professor Wind, the band..." -George Cooper And what a party that would be, right? I’m sharing a simple Autumn Tablescape with you over #ontheblog. If you’ll be hosting family or a few friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you’re inspired. A few years ago I shared this sweet and simple Fall tablescape. I loved the layers -- and my favorite part was the "I am thankful for..." printable with the twig pencil. I was working on a tablescape last week (that I`ll be sharing soon) but was reminded of this one. Do you enjoy setting a nice table for special occasions? I honestly enjoy doing it anytime we have dinner guests. 🍽

Confession: I love decorating my coffee table. And it usually starts with a tray or basket. This pic is circa 2018 or 2019. I loved the rich brown colors, textures, and vintage market finds that I incorporated. Candles are a must around here too... there`s usually always one burning. So, tell me, what is one of your favorite things or places to decorate? 🍂 More fall decor inspo here: https://livelaughrowe.com/tag/fall-decor/ For clickable link, click on @livelaughrowe and then the link in my profile.
So, what`s the plan for Thanksgiving? 🦃. They`re saying that we need to reconsider large gatherings. Does that change your plans? Ours is always small and low key. I`m excited to be hosting this year. 🎉 Mashed potatoes are ALWAYS on the menu (it`s one of my favorite foods). And if you have an instant pot -- this side dish can be whipped up in about 15 minutes. Plus, it frees up the stovetop for other side dishes. Pretty awesome sauce if you ask me. Snag this recipe by clicking on @livelaughrowe and then the #linkinprofile or Google LiveLaughRowe Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes. With the cooler weather come soups, stews, and chilis. Can I get a 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢? I love soup season. Add some buttery rolls or cheese and crackers -- and, well, perfection is served. This Oven Beef Stew is an all-time new favorite in our home. My husband isn`t a big soup guy, but he loved this... coming back for a second bowl. 🙌 Swipe left for a spoonful! 😉😋
The full recipe is over on the blog. And did I mention how easy it is to make? Winning. Click on @livelaughrowe and then #linkinprofile. Enjoy!
This recipe goes way back. An oldie, but a goodie... Apple Crisp. My favorite part? The crunchy topping. This is a dessert that melts in your mouth. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and, well, you have a bowl of pure scrumptiousness. Plus, don`t the apples in the dessert count as a serving of fruit? 😜😂 Treat your friends and/or family to this delicious goodness this weekend. Click on @livelaughrowe and then the link in my profile.
