Let the Series Begin! {the crowd goes wild} How exciting it is to be kicking off this Grow Your Blog Series! Hopefully by now you’ve read about the fabulous ladies who are contributing to this week’s events! If not, you can catch up super quick {here}.
This week we hope to offer you some tips, pointers and insights on how to grow your blog. Each contributor is focusing on something that has specifically contributed to their blog’s success. From Linky parties to Pinterest to Giveaways, you’re sure to gain some invaluable information. I can assure you that I am as excited as you are to read each contributor’s post!
I think one of my absolute favorite pieces to working on the growth of my own blog is the networking. There is a quote from the movie Six Degrees of Separation that says “Every person is a new door to a different world.” Excellent, right? I love thinking along those lines — every person we meet opens a new door of friendship, life experiences, opportunity, creativity, knowledge, support, etc. In bloggy land, networking can mean finding new blogs where you may find inspiration, advertising opportunities, friendship, features, collaboration, par-tays, giveaways, and possibly the exchange of products and services. Networking for me is an invaluable and inexpensive piece to growing your blog.

The past few weeks, I have been networking and marketing my blog very HARD and I have witnessed the “supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest.” Growing your blog may require some work, actually it might even require some hard work. Yep, there are some lucky ladies whose blogs go viral overnight. For others, we have to work at it and there is nothing wrong with that! It may not be a walk in the park, but it is a fun and rewarding experience! I can say that over these past few weeks, I have met several incredible women and found new inspiration from some incredible blogs! There is one particular bloggy friend that has offered me free advertising (even though she does charge), helpful tips and a short term partnership when I decide to start up a linky party. Wow! Right? It all started with me following her blog and leaving a comment. The rest is history! I won’t say who it is to spare her from being bombarded {giggle}, but she knows who she is and I am so very grateful.
All that to say, you can’t go wrong in networking. My hope is that this series will be a piece to your networking experience. I hope you find inspiration, ideas, and opportunities this week. I can guarantee one outcome — you’ll have seven new bloggy friends. {Yay!} I haven’t read or seen any of our contributor’s blogs, so I probably better stop while I’m ahead. I wouldn’t want to steal anyone’s thunder.
Ooopsy! One more quick thing — I did want to mention that we’ve all agreed to offer you a Blog Hop one week from today, Sunday, February 19. Feel free to come back to any one of our blogs and link up your blog. Let’s go ahead and put your networking skills to the test. I would encourage you to visit each other’s blogs, follow one another and make some new bloggy friends. Have you ever visited the Sunday Social hosted by The Kurtz Corner and The Sasse Life? I visit every Sunday Night… and have made some lovely new friends there, including one of this month’s sponsors, Ashlee from Sugar Mama Bakeshop. Our hope is that this Blog Hop offers you an opportunity to make new friends and grow your readership amongst one another! Grab the button and start spreading the word — we hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for offering such a great series. I have had my blog for over 3 years, but I haven't done much with it as life got in the way. I got back to writing this past October, and have started growing it more. You are absolutely right it is hard work. I am meeting so many wonderful people, and looking forward to meeting many more. 🙂
