I also wanted to update you on our fundraising endeavors. The Baby Rowe Giving Tree has officially sold 25 of the 50 leaves this past week. Praise the Lord!! We’ve officially raised $1,250 just from this fundraiser alone. We were hoping to sell two trees, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. Fundraising is difficult and the last thing you want to do is offend and turn people off. I am still selling Tastefully Simple; however, since I’m working more — it’s not getting as much of my attention. I have six potential catalog parties in the works, I need to follow up with the wonderful women who have so graciously offered to do one. I also don’t have internet access at work, so anything that has to be done on-line seems to pile up on me. I can only put my best foot forward and keep an optimistic outlook. It’s not always easy, friends. I have days where I can’t stop crying… Some day it’s harder to hide the discouragement, especially now that I’m working more and have co-workers. What a growing experience this has been and will continue to be. With all that being said, I wanted to end this post on a good note. Drum roll please….. As of today, with our personal saving and fundraising endeavors, we’re at about $3,300 of the $5,000 we’ll need by June 1st. Praise the Lord — and — thank you to those who have been praying, believing and/or giving. God is good!!!

The adoption application and process is coming along…. WOO-HOO! We have completed a great deal of the paperwork, with only a small bit to go. We’ve done the physicals, FBI and State Background checks, etc. On 4/27 we’ll be heading to a six hour CPR class too. Praise the Lord, this process is moving in the right direction —-> forward. I think the area we need to give ourselves a little push in is the book reports. Neither of us have completed one of the three books we need to read and write a one page report on. Yikes! {half smile}. We’ll get there. A friend reminded me today to take pictures of the process, and the technician (Angela) at the fingerprinting center was wonderful in letting me capture these:
