First and foremost, if you’re visiting from Finding Silver Pennies — WELCOME! I’m so glad you’re here.
Can you believe that tomorrow is the official first day of fall. Guess what? It doesn’t feel like it around these parts. High 80’s with INTENSE humidity seems to be the norm around here — and did I mention a little depressing? So, I’m doing my darndest to channel my love for all things fall despite the heat. I recently pulled out my Fall Front Porch Decor.
I’m fairly certain that my neighbors got a laugh and a half. Corn husks, pumpkins and mums in 90 degree temps made me chuckle, so I can only imagine what my neighbors were thinking.
Anywho, I did it! And the crowds go wild. I pulled a lovely fall front porch together and I’m super excited to share it with all of you…
Let’s start by saying that a glass door is NOT ideal for photographing your front porch… so a full view didn’t make the cut. However, I think you’ll enjoy some of the different shots I was able to capture — and, most importantly, I hope you’re inspired.
I did something VERY different this year in pulling out this collapsible shelf and using it on my front porch. Earlier this year my sister and I spotted it on sale at Hobby Lobby and thought it would be great to have on hand if we ever had a little booth to sell some of our handmade items. Little did I know that it would be perfect for my fall porch decor too.
I filled her up with some of my favorite ‘fall’ things: gourds, pumpkins, pinecones, indian corn and birch. It’s perfection! (In my humble opinion).
Mums and pumpkins are the quintessential representation of fall. Don’t you agree? Placing mums in old apple buckets and galvanized buckets adds a bit of old charm too.
Now let’s take a look at the warm and cozy side. The side of the porch that you might catch me curled up with a book and a cup of hot apple cider as the temperatures start to drop.
As I shot some of these pictures, I kind of wished we lived in the country… where at night you would only hear the crickets.
I actually did a little day dreaming… this wicker chair and the orange plaid blanket are favorites of mine. They were a perfect pair for this cozy nook.
Here’s a quick peek from the side…
Thanks so much for joining me today, friends! Have you decorated your front porch for fall? If not, I hope you find some incredible inspiration among all of the talented bloggers. Honestly, using the elements that YOU love is the simplest way to celebrate the season.

Very pretty! I live in the suburbs of Houston and the temp has been in the high nineties. We are suppose to have a cool front early next week and the temps should be in the upper 80’s.
