Hey y’all! Let’s talk a little bit about meal planning. Are you a consistent and succesful meal planner? Or are you with me — someone who kind of stinks at it. Okay, I really stink at it (face palm). When we first got married, I was so good at having a plan and dinner was on the table every single night. Recently that doesn’t seem to be the case. It’s kind of sad. Being that I work from home, there’s really no reason I can’t do it, I think I just get caught up in work and other ‘stuff’ that I forget to pull out the meat or never make it to the grocery store, etc. It’s so incredibly easy to find an excuse to eat a bowl of cereal or a frozen meal. Blah.
While I love to cook, I appreciate easy at the end of the day — and sometimes those easy options aren’t always healthy ones. So, here’s the plan! For the next two weeks, I’m going to be exploring the Cooking Planit with the intention of being more efficient in the kitchen and expanding the menu to go beyond having the same meals each week. I’m also going to be cooking with some awesome sauce fresh ingredients! I’m going to rock the meal planning. #icandothis #right?
Doesn’t this Arugula, Radicchio and Apple Salad look AMAZING?
Heck yeah — and you know it’s on my menu this week! {wink}
Why Cooking Planit? Well, cause I’m in desperate need of help here {giggle}. I downloaded the app onto my iPad and it’s all fabulous! Seriously, it’s like GPS for your kitchen. There’s a Meal Maestro, friends!! Wha?? It provides perfectly timed instructions walking you through each step in the cooking process by telling you what to do, when and how to do it. From grocery shopping and prepping to sautéing and garnishing your final dish. Cooking Planit will walk me through the process to put a full meal on the table! Ahem… that is sweet. With over 800 chef tested recipes, I can adjust the serving for each recipe too — 2, 4 or 6 servings. Being it’s just the hubby and I, this is PERFECTION. No over-thinking, no leftovers (which I’m not a huge fan of) and no waste! Boom.
I bet you’re getting just excited as I am!
So, how about joining me?

Oh, I know how hard it is to make sure that things are healthy and well balanced when you are tired and/or time crunched at the end of the work/school day! Good luck with this challenge Kelly- I look forward to reading more about it!
