Hi there! Ready for a cozy, come-as-you-are conversation with a friend?
Miscellany:
1. So Much for an Uneventful Week!
When I first sat down to write this Weekender, I thought, Well, it’s been a pretty uneventful week. And then I started thinking about everything that’s happened. Ha!
Both dogs had grooming appointments, we celebrated two birthdays, and our new refrigerator was delivered on Sunday. Unfortunately, within a couple of days, it started making a loud humming noise. After a little investigating, we discovered some pretty significant dents on the back, right around where the compressor and fans are located. Not exactly what you want to find on a brand-new appliance!
Thankfully, Lowe’s arranged for a replacement, which was delivered yesterday. Fingers crossed this one behaves itself! 🤞
So much for a quiet week, right? Apparently, it’s been a little more eventful than I initially thought.
The best part of it all? The weekend has officially arrived! And after all that excitement, I’m more than ready for a little downtime. Here’s hoping for a quieter weekend and a refrigerator that does nothing more exciting than keep our food cold. Yes and amen!
2. Vacation Mode: Almost! ☀️🏖️
I’ve officially started making lists and gathering things for our upcoming trip to Fort Morgan, Alabama! I’m trying to get a head start on packing and organizing everything so I’m not running around like a crazy person at the last minute. Ha! Does anyone else do this?
There’s just something about having a beach getaway on the calendar that makes even the packing lists a little more exciting. Sunshine, salty air, and some much-needed downtime are calling my name! Eeeks.
3. Twice the Reasons to Celebrate! 🎉
We had two birthdays to celebrate this week! I enjoyed a little coffee date with my parents to celebrate my mom’s upcoming birthday, and my nephew turned the big 1-0, so the family met up for cake and ice cream last Sunday. It was a sweet week of celebrations!
4. A Little Hope for Heavy Days ❤️
Earlier this week, I shared a few thoughts about holding on to hope when life feels heavy. Life has a way of throwing challenges our way, and sometimes it’s hard to see past the worries right in front of us. It’s a gentle reminder that we don’t have to have everything figured out to hold on to hope, and that a little faith, kindness, and encouragement can go a long way.
I hope it brings a little encouragement to your day, too.
5. Sweet Little Acorns! 🍂
How adorable are these little acorn treats? I spotted this idea while browsing around the web and thought it was too cute not to share! With their chocolate-dipped tops, colorful sprinkles, and pretzel stems, they’re such a fun twist on a fall treat. Wouldn’t these be darling for a Thanksgiving gathering or tucked into a little treat bag? Sometimes the simplest ideas are the sweetest!

6. My New Favorite Little Obsession! 🤭
My sister bought me a sticker-by-number book, and I have to admit, I’d never even heard of such a thing! Well, now I’m officially obsessed. Ha! It’s like paint-by-number, only with stickers, and there’s something so satisfying about watching the picture come together one tiny sticker at a time. It’s relaxing, a little addictive, and such a fun way to unplug for a bit.
Who knew sticking little pieces of paper onto a page could bring so much joy? It’s one of those things you didn’t know you needed. Look at all of these options?!?! Sticker by Number Books.

One Last Hoorah:
Learning to Let Go and Fly
This quote really spoke to me. Sometimes the things weighing us down aren’t always obvious. They can be expectations, worries, guilt, or simply feeling responsible for things that were never ours to carry in the first place. I’m still very much a work in progress as I navigate therapy, learning to set healthy boundaries, let go of what I can’t control, and remind myself that it’s okay to put my own well-being first sometimes.
And let me tell you, it’s not always easy! Old habits are hard to break, and growth can be uncomfortable. But I’m learning that letting go doesn’t mean I care any less. Sometimes it simply means I’m making room for a little more peace. And that’s something worth working toward. ❤️
