I know in previous posts I’ve mentioned my {love} for Birch Wood.   Last October when my husband and I were in Vermont for my brothers wedding,  I was overwhelmed with excitement at all of the Birch Trees!  Anytime I saw a branch or limb down, I made my husband stop so we could pick it up.  I use it for decor year round in my home {smile}.  I just think it’s a unique tree with such detail and character.  Here’s a picture of some of my finds taken by Kristine Lynn Photography.

Anywho, as we are getting ready for the Christmas holidays — I was thinking of additional ways to use some of my birch wood.  Our main Christmas tree (I have three very different trees each year) is very rustic, lodgy themed.  I decided to ask my husband to team up with me to make a few ornaments using our Vermont finds.  With the use of his miter saw, drill and my hemp twine… we were ready to roll.  I think they turned out fabulous and I can’t wait to add some of these to my tree this year.  What do you think?

Ooh, I love them! I have a tabletop tree that is "rustic" themed and birch ornaments would look so cute on it! Too bad we don't have any birch trees near where I live.

I think they look gorgeous too. I have pinned a picture of birch decorations with the date on them so you can date them each year as a Christmas memento.

Isn't it exciting that Christmas is on its way!

    Best wishes,
    Natasha.

What simple beauty! I used to love the birch tree in our neighbors yard when we were growing up. I'd stare at the lovely bark close up quite often.

I love, love, love this! I actually made a bunch of these for gift tags from the camphor tree out front. But yours are so pretty! I wish we had some birch trees in FL. Really love this!
