Happy Friday!  Are you as excited as I am that the weekend is here?  Tonight I’m heading to the St. Louis Vintage Market Days!  Will I see any of you there?  {smile}  I am so super excited to see all the vendors’ goodies, spend way too much money, and find one-of-a-kind inspiration.

Well, I’m back today with another fun Easter craft.   For some reason, my mind is going in a gazillion directions lately!  I try to capture a thought/idea every now and again and go to work.  I have an inspiration board on Pinterest.  It’s top-secret! {hee-hee}  I pin pictures that inspire me or inspire an idea.  That’s where these Muslin Easter Treat Bags come into the picture.

These are so super duper cute —and— so super duper easy!  I think these little bags filled with Easter treats would make a whole lot of people smile!  Don’t you?

Alrighty, let’s start by grabbing our supplies!

supplies for easter muslin treat bags

Here is a breakdown of what you need!

supply list for muslin easter treat bags
muslin drawstring bags
pink felt tip marker (mine is Paper Mate)
ultra fine tip black marker (mine is Sharpie)
letter stamps/stencils

Got everything?  Ready?  Let’s do this!

Let’s start with the bunny face muslin Easter treat bag!  The first thing you’ll want to do is draw your bunny face onto paper/cardstock to use as your template.  I drew mine on a tag and it fit perfectly into the bag.  Now, grab both of your markers, muslin bags, and your template.  We’re about to get our cuteness on!

Adorable DIY Rabbit Muslin Easter Treat BagsThat’s it!  You’re done.  Did I say ‘easy?’  Now let’s make the Happy Easter treat bags!  For this one, I used a mini letter stencil set I had on hand; however, you could freehand it -or- use stamps if you have them on hand.

Once again, I did try to create a very non-professional template to use so that the text would be centered.  I slipped that into my muslin bag.

diy happy easter muslin treat bagsI didn’t trace the letters, however, I did use my stencil.  I’m a wee-bit of a perfectionist, so I had to take a few extra steps.  Ha!  I’ve seen these made with letter stamps, but I knew that would probably be the death of me.  I’m sitting here chuckling.

There we have two muslin Easter treat bags to make and share with those we love.  What do you think?  Fill them with some of your favorite treats or little trinkets for the kids!  Even better, they’re reusable!

Kelly, I am in love with these cute little treat bags! So much more fun than those plastic ones… pinning these and maybe I’ll have time to do this for the 2nd grade class tomorrow. 🙂
