I {love} sharing new finds with all of you. Things that I’ve recently discovered! For example, did you know that Best Buy offers electronic recycling?
We shop at Best Buy a lot, so hearing this little tidbit of information made us smile. Sometimes you have old electronics such as TVs, cameras, videos, home appliances, etc. that no longer work and we need to get rid of them, but we want to dispose of them properly. Well, we like to do what we can for the environment, so this is valuable information for us!
With technology being the fastest growing waste stream on the plant, I’m grateful that Best Buy is now a part of the solution! Virtual high five, friends of Best Buy! What’s even better is that the products don’t have to be from their stores. No matter where you purchased your product and regardless of how old it is — Best Buy will responsibly and safely recycle it.
Their recycling efforts are free to you in every Best Buy location in Puerto Rico and the U.S. It’s crazy to think that they recycle 387 pounds of electronics each minute their stores are open. That is INCREDIBLE! I was curious to see what happens to all of the technology that they receive and found this video super informational.
To learn more about the program, be sure to visit Best Buys recycling page. Once you recycle your old electronics, consider upgrading to more energy efficient ones. Best Buy carries a whole line of Energy Star certified products as well. So, it’s a win-win. Be sure to learn more about our Energy Star certified products by visiting their website.
Have you taken advantage of the recycle program at Best Buy? If so, I would love hear about your experience!
