Homemade Pasta Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • Two 28 oz cans Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2-3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 1/2 large Onion chopped
  • 1-1/3 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 cup Red Wine
  • 1/2 tbsp Oregano
  • 1/8 cup Sugar
  • Fresh Basil Leaves

Instructions

  1. Sautee onions in 2-3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, then add garlic.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, garlic, onion, garlic salt, red wine and oregano to large pan.
  3. Simmer on low for approximately one hour, adding sugar as it simmers.
  4. After one hour, add fresh basil leaves and simmer for another hour.
