80pretzel snaps (or mini twists, waffle rounds etc)
40milk chocolate Rolos
10ozbag of Ghirardelli white vanilla melting wafers
1/4cupChristmas sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange 40 pretzel snaps in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place an unwrapped Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
Bake the pretzel and Rolo candies in the oven for 3–4 minutes, just until the Rolos soften but remain intact (not fully melted).
Remove the tray from the oven and gently press another pretzel snap on top of each softened Rolo, forming a sandwich. Avoid pressing too hard to prevent the caramel from oozing out. Refrigerate the tray for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy wafers in 30-second intervals on a low heat or defrost setting. Stir after each interval until smooth and fully melted.
Remove the chilled sandwiches from the refrigerator. Dip each sandwich halfway into the melted candy coating, letting the excess drip off. Place the dipped sandwich back onto the baking sheet and sprinkle immediately with festive decorations. Work quickly, as the coating will set fast on the chilled sandwiches.
Repeat the dipping and decorating process for all sandwiches. Once done, refrigerate the tray for 10–20 minutes or until the candy coating is completely set.
Your Rolo Pretzel Sandwiches are now ready to serve! Share and enjoy this sweet and salty holiday treat.
Notes
Feel free to halve, double, or triple the recipe depending on how many sandwiches you want to make.
Try different Rolo flavors like milk chocolate or dark salted caramel. You can substitute with other candies such as mini peanut butter cups, Hershey’s Kisses, Milky Way bites, or Cadbury squares.
If you prefer a different shape, use mini pretzel twists, pretzel waffles (rounds), pretzel crisps, or pretzel flats.
Swap the sprinkles to match different celebrations. For added flair, drizzle melted candy melts in festive colors.
You can replace white melting wafers with almond bark, white chocolate chips, or regular chocolate. You can also experiment with colorful candy melts to suit the occasion.
