Make two 1/2 pound patties of hamburger. Set aside.
Prep the grilled cheese by spreading the outside of bread slices with mayonnaise or butter.
Cook the hamburger patties (to your preference). Add cheese.
Sandwich together 2 slices of cheese for each grilled cheese. Toast the sandwich in a skillet over medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes per side, until each side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Place the hamburger on one grilled cheese sandwich. Add bacon and additional toppings/condiments of choice. Place the second grilled cheese sandwich on top and serve.
