Frosting

melted butter

block cream cheese (4 oz), softened

confectioners' sugar
Instructions
Cake
Stir together sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Stir in oil.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add carrots, nuts, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly by hand.
Pour into a floured and greased 8x8 cake pan.
Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.
Set aside to cool (in pan).
Frosting
Combine butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. Mix well with hand/stand mixer.
Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth.
Spread icing on the cooled cake.
