Fresh minced parsley,
optional
Instructions
Slice approximately ¼ to ½ inch from the top of each garlic bulb, exposing the tops of the cloves.
Place each garlic bulb in the center of its own square of aluminum foil.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each bulb, allowing the oil to run between the cloves.
Season with salt and black pepper, if desired.
Wrap each bulb securely in the foil.
Arrange the wrapped garlic bulbs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes.
Carefully open one foil packet and test the garlic. The cloves should be very soft. If necessary, rewrap and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
Allow the garlic to cool slightly. Gently squeeze the bottom of each bulb to release the roasted cloves from their skins.
Sprinkle with fresh minced parsley, if desired, and serve or store for later.
Notes
Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the garlic bulbs and your air fryer model.
There is no need to peel the individual garlic cloves before roasting.
Additional olive oil can be used, but avoid overfilling the foil packets to prevent oil from leaking into the air fryer.
Store cooled roasted garlic in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Roasted garlic can be frozen for up to three months.
