Hearty Lentil Soup
Ingredients
1
bag of lentils, 16 oz.
3
stalks of celery
1
small onion
3
or 4 links of knockwurst or bratwurst
peeled and cut into cubes
4
potatoes
peeled and cut into cubes
2
tbsp.
flour
3
tbsp.
water
Salt
to taste
Instructions
Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil and add cut up celery and lentils.
Add cut up potatoes and onion into the boiling water when lentils are done.
Fry a handful of knockwurst in flour and water. This will get lumpy and thick. Add to soup along with the remaining knockwurst.
Simmer 1-1/2 hours and serve.
