Make a batch of cupcakes with yellow cake mix, allow to cool.
Mix 3/4 cup of strawberry jam with 2 cups of cool whip, or to taste.
Place in freezer for 30 minutes to thicken.
Cut the cooled cupcakes in half crosswise.
Top with Strawberry and Cool Whip topping.
Repeat on top of cupcake, adding a dollop of cool whip.
Garnish with slices of fresh strawberries
