In reply to <a href="https://livelaughrowe.com/travel-to-st-maarten-things-to-do-places-to-eat/#comment-106908">Amanda</a>.

We just returned from a week at Oyster Bay on St. Maarten. The island still has many visible examples of the devastation created by hurricane Irma. Cars in trees and boats still sunk in the marinas are common. Dawn Beach is full of seaweed and Beau Beau's Restaurant doesn't exist right now. Nevertheless, we had a great time on the island, and look forward to returning again in the future. I recommend a wonderful meal at L'Oasis, just a short distance over the French border past Oyster Bay. The Topper's Rhum distillery tour was great fun and Pinel Island is worth a trip. Enjoy!

I loved your blog; St. Maarten's sounds and looks like the place to go and just relax. Great list of places to eat and things to do.

A reminder when you do list a place like Sunset Beach, you should do it with an caveat ----- no one should go any nearer the airport landing area(s) than where you've taken this photo. Many tourist do, not thinking of what could happen and people are injured or killed by an airplane landing as they fly over the area. It is an extremely dangerous place and the area closer to the landing strip(s) should be avoided.

Keep up the wonderful blogsite and love this particular one blog with the gorgeous pictures of things in St. Maarten. Thanks!!!!
