My hubby has been getting colonoscopies since he was 44–the year his dad died of colon cancer. His mom had it too so we live with the reality all the time! But early detection is key. And, btw, my mil lived with a colostomy for over 25 years, maybe not the best outcome but not the end of the world. Take care!
