Kelly, I can totally identify with you and your struggles. I, too, lost someone very dear to me who had been around for 50 years. I, too, experienced the feelings of sadness, loss, loneliness, life without purpose, etc. I, too, have struggled for an extended period of time with feelings I wasn't quite able to reconcile or deal with. I, too, have spent these last couple of years depending on our loving and caring Father in Heaven to lift me up and keep me from totally going under. I, too, am finding my way back to being the resilient person I used to be. Congratulations on your new job. My thoughts and prays are flying your way in the hopes that many more blessings will come to you and that this new purpose in your life will give you back those precious things you have lost.

What a touching post, Kelly! And what a wonderful example of what to do when we're not sure of the next step - I pray God's richest blessings on you in this new position!

Thank you for sharing your ups, downs and bumps in the road. I, too have found myself struggling this fall. You see, I was a highly trained nurse and just as I was to start working towards my goal of being a practitioner, my dad became critically ill. I worked full time and stayed with him in the hospitals for almost one year, during that time I also managed the building of a medical suite onto his farm home. He had special needs that I was trained to take care of. God's hand was directing me every step of the way. Mom and I took care of his every need for 8 years and we lost him late last spring. After being on call 24/7 for 8 years straight, I'm giving my self time to recover. All I can say is be gracious to yourself. You don't have to do what other's expect of you unless it feels right to you. Take care.
