Hi Jill. Being that mine is made from old pallets, I would not place food on it directly. So, I did not seal mine. I think that would a preference depending on the use of your tray. Hope that helps. Cheers!

I would’ve never thought about making a serving tray with it, and the project came out great. Have you ever tried to make a serving tray with wooden wine crates? They have a different look but are equally as nostalgic and good looking.
