just thought I would share this…
You may be a kindred spirit with my Daughter as she feels the same about the butterflies…
She is 26 years old and about a year ago I watched her hold her precious girl dog (Sandie) on the day she had to have her put to sleep. It still brings tears to my eyes as I write this. We had our sweet Sandie for may years and she was slowly leaving us. The morning after she was gone my Daughter was walking around in our backyard and a Beautiful Blue butterfly landed on her shoulder and stayed there for a long time. My Daughter said that it was her Sandie coming to tell her she was at Peace now. Everyday for a solid week this butterfly would come to visit my Daughter and would linger for several minutes. Almost as a reassurance of letting My Daughter know that she was doing ok.
We still see the Blue butterflies in our yard as well as the Monarchs so we have vowed to plant things that will keep them coming back.
